David has twenty years of experience in medical device product research and development, including roles at Abbott Laboratories and CryoLife. He is the inventor on 130 issued U.S. patents related to the design and manufacture of medical devices. David received his Ph.D. in Materials Science from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, his M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Auburn Univeristy and has received both an M.Sc. in Instrumentation and Analysis and a B.Sc. in Chemistry from The University of Manchester in the U.K.
